1. Spend 80% of your time with the 20%
It would drive me crazy when one of my mentors would spend time with people under performing instead of helping me accelerate my performance. Don't make this mistake. Spend most of your time with the minority who are getting the job done.
2. Know their 'why'
Simple, but essential. Knowing why someone is doing this will help you keep them inspired and in action mode.
3. Treat people like business owners
They're not your employees, they're your team. Your network is a volunteer sales force. They're in network marketing to fire their boss, not be under a new one. Treat them like they are the president of their own company. They are.
4. Develop leadership
Growth by multiplication can only happen by developing leaders on your team. Followers grow slowly by addition, but leaders can multiply to the ends of the Earth. If you doubt me, just refer to the leadership model Jesus developed.
5. Reward results
When results are recognized and rewarded, they are accelerated and optimized. I've seen many leaders reward people for activity that produced zero results. Instead, coach people when they're struggling and reward people who are performing.
6. Lead by example
This may be the only tip you need to being a great leader and developing other leaders. If you're not leading the way, don't expect it from others. Be the leader you were born to be and do it through action and example.
